One week before the World Cup in Germany and on an extremely muddy course Julien Absalon took the lead, never looked back and accelerated each lap. Only Hermida and Paulissen tried to follow, but in vain.

"It was super to win on a high altitude course just one week before the World Cup in Germany. I felt great and good physically on the climbs and on the technical descents. It was a great race.".
